Cell phone vs. Bible

Cell phone vs. Bible

Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?

What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?

What if we flipped through it several time a day?

What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?

What if we used it to receive messages from the text?

What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?

What if we gave it to kids as gifts?

What if we used it when we traveled?

What if we used it in case of emergency?

This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?

Oh, and one more thing.
Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because......
Jesus already paid the bill.

Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities? And no dropped calls!

Trust in the Lord and *ASAP (Always Say A Prayer)

Have a blessed and wonderful day!

......  'everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.'

PEOPLE WHO MOCKED GOD

When you begin to perceive problems as opportunities, you will begin to understand your purpose
Successful people know their life is not an accident, they understand they are not here by chance

2 sure that you wouldn't regret reading this.

 ID  YOU KNOW THESE FACTS?
I SURE DIDN'T TILL NOW

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!

Make a personal reflection about this......Very interesting, please, read until the end.....

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7):

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap."

Here are some men and women  who mocked God :

John Lennon
(Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

' Christianity will end, it will disappear.  I do not have to argue about  that. I am certain.
Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him ' (1966)..
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves
(President of Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.
Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During A show in Canecio
Rio de Janeiro ),
while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: ' God, that ' s for you. '
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.

The man who built
the Titanic
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be...
With an ironic tone he said:   ' Not even God can sink it '
The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:

' I don ' t need your Jesus '
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:
' Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell '
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend.....
The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car:
' My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You. '
She responded: ' Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It ' s Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.
The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken

Christine Hewitt
(Jamaican Journalist and entertainer
said
the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.
In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.
Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

' JESUS '

PS:
If it was a joke, you would have sent it to everyone.
So are you going to have courage to send this?

I have done my part,
Jesus said

' If you are embarrassed about me,
I will also be embarrassed about you before my father. '
You are my 8 in 8 seconds. I am not breaking this. No way!

I ' M TOLD THIS WORKS!!!!!Bishop T.D. Jakes ' 8 Second Prayer. Just repeat this prayer and see how God moves!!

' Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family, my home, and my friends, in Jesus ' name. Amen. '

Pass this message to 8 people {EXCEPT YOU AND ME}..You will receive a miracle tomorrow. I Hope that you don't ignore and
let God bless you

Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter

   John LAR-WISA Wrote:
I received this from a friend and thought I should share it with you...
Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area.
When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, "You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it."
Then he thought, "Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it.
Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet."
When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change."
The driver, with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in town? I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday."
When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter."
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians and will put us to the test!
Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself "Christian."
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder. God bless you; I hope you are having a wonderful day! If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen; if you do, you will have ministered to someone.
The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not PROTECT you... Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL!

GET THE REAL MESSAGE AND WATCH CAREFULLY

GET THE REAL MESSAGE AND WATCH CAREFULLY.
As we are waiting earnestly for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, brethren, let us all watch carefully so that we will not be derailed from the actual truth. Jesus only is the subject of our message, and the Gospel is the message of salvation which was accomplished by none other person but Jesus Christ.
Galatians 1:8-9 says, “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
Now, I want you to get the real message very clearly, what we preach is that:
1. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. What this means is that everyone have fallen short of what God demands, which means no one is able to keep the law on his or her own.
2. for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Romans 6:23. What this means is that because we cannot keep the law, everyone is suppose to die, and this death we are talking about is not just the physical death, but it is  eternal separation from God.
3.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, Romans 5:8. Which means, because of the love that God has for us, He has to send his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to come and pay the price for our sins, as we see in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
So, what is happening now is that you don’t have to focus on any other thing, or how to keep the law because you cannot do it on your own. Your focus now has to be ONLY on JESUS CHRIST, because he is the only one who can take you through the laws of God. That’s why all we are preaching is that people need to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and personal savior.
Therefore, understand that, when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, you’ll be able to fulfill the law. Romans 10:4 say, “For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.” Which means, everything now ends in Christ, and when you have Jesus Christ, you can now do all things through Christ which strengthens you, Phillippinans 4:19, and there is no more condemnation for you, because, you have passed from death into everlasting live.
N/B: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (NIV) says, “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you have received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” Remain blessed.

BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO HAVE NOT SEEN, YET BELIEVE

Are you one of those who are still doubting anything about the Lord Jesus Christ? And those who have not yet believed, what else do you want to know, and what type of evidence do you want to see before you believe? Well, I wont blame you so much for now because you don't understand.

Thomas, one of the twelve disciples chosen by the Lord Jesus was in the same situation, and despite the fact that he has seen all the miracles that Jesus did, how he opened the eyes of the blind, made the lame to walk, healed every kind of sicknesses and diseases, and even raised the dead, did not believe that Jesus had resurrected even though Jesus had clearly told them earlier about this. So, if Thomas who was with Jesus did not believe, how much more, you who have no idea of what Jesus looks like. But Jesus, knowing fully well that not only Thomas will not believe everything about him said to Thomas, yet not only to him, but to everyone, "Blessed are those who have not seen, yet believe, John 20:29."

Therefore, if you have not believed so that you can repent ans give your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:2, "For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." And Hebrews 3:7-8 says, "Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness." Yes, the more you harden your heart against God, the more you'll get hurt.

Therefore, consider making it right with God today by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ, and you'll find true peace in him. Remember, what God does he will say, and what he says he will do. God has made it very clear that there is an impending wrath of God that is ahead, prepared for the devil and those who will refuse to believe, and because of the love of God for us,  he sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ. And the only way to escape this wrath is by accepting the Lord Jesus Christ.
May God help all those who are still doubting, so that they could make it right with God today, in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please, don't let today pass by without giving your life to Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus is Lord.
Jesus loves you and I do too.

WHY SUNDAY IS IMPORTANT TO CHRISTIANS

Bishop Emmanuel Excel Ogbeide Wrote;
WHY SUNDAY IS IMPORTANT TO CHRISTIANS:
1.  Jesus rose on the first day of the week not the Sabbath: Mk 16:9
2.  All 6 appearances of Jesus happen on two Sundays, none on Sabbath. Mk 16:9; Mt 28:5-9; Lk 24:34;
    Lk 24:13-15; Lk 24:33,36 + Jn 20:19; Jn 20:26
3. Christians are recorded assembling three times on Sunday after resurrection and before ascension, never on
the Sabbath. Jn 20:19 Jn 20:26 Acts 2:1 (We do not claim that these were worship services, just the early
    starting point of Sunday gatherings)
4. The only time Christians are recorded to have assembled together was on a Sunday in Acts 20:7, never does it
say the disciples assembled on the Sabbath.
5.  The only day ever mentioned when Christians broke bread was on Sunday: Acts 20:7
6.  Christians are commanded every Sunday to give into a common treasury of the church: 1 Cor 16:1-2
7.  Jesus was declared the Son of God on Sunday: Rom 1:4; Ps 2:7 "Today I have begotten thee" was fulfilled on
Sunday when he rose: Acts 13:33
8.  The sign that Jesus was glorified was given on Sunday: Jn 7:39 + Acts 2:1,32
9.  The church officially began on Pentecost Sunday: Acts 2:1
10. Jesus was crowned king on a Sunday: Acts 2:33-36
11. The disciples reception of the promise of the Father on Sunday: Acts 1:4-5; 2:1-4
12. The Holy Spirit first fell upon the apostles on a Sunday: Acts 2:1-4
13. Salvation first preached by Peter on Sunday: Mt 16:19; Acts 2:1,38,40-41
14. The Keys to the Kingdom of God were first used on Sunday: Mt 16:19
15. The great "Triumphal entry" (also called "Palm Sunday") happened on the first day: Luke 13:32
16 The time between the Lord's resurrection (sheaf waving day) and Pentecost was Sunday to Sunday counting of
50 days. The starting and stopping time was on the 1st day.
17. First time Jesus worshiped after resurrection was on the first day by Thomas (Jn. 20:26).
18. The first time we could be born again to a living hope was on a Sunday: 1 Pet. 1:3
19. The first time Jesus had communion after his resurrection with His disciples, was on a Sunday: (Lk. 24:1, 13,
      28-35)
20. Pentecost was a Sunday - Sunday duration of 50 days. The starting point and stopping point of counting the
50 days was a Sunday - Sunday period.

While the Sabbath was significant to the Jews, there is no New Testament significance of the Sabbath in connection with anything of Christ, Christianity, the church or heaven. Hence, christian worship was moved from SABBATH to SUNDAY

See By Faith, Not By Sight

Max Lucado wrote:

On the wall of a concentration camp, a prisoner had carved the following words:
“I believe in the sun, even though it doesn’t shine.
I believe in love, even when it isn’t shown.
I believe in God, even when he doesn’t speak.”
What hand could have cut such a conviction?  What eyes could have seen good in such horror? There’s only one answer:  Eyes that chose to see the unseen.
Paul wrote in 2nd Corinthians 4:18: “We set our eyes not on what we see but on what we cannot see.  What we see will only last a short time, but what we cannot see will last forever.”
We can see either the hurt or the Healer.
Mark it down. God knows you and I are blind.  He knows living by faith and not by sight doesn’t come naturally.  He will help us.  Accept his help.
Either live by the facts or see by faith!

YOU COULD NOW BEGIN TO CHECK YOUR ACTIONS

Do you know that whatever you do everyday counts?
Considering the 57 Cents story, who on earth will ever think that 57 Cents saved by a little girl could be used to purchase a big cathedral for the people of God? Nobody knew, but God is working silently in every step we take and in whatever we do.
So, it is very important to check whatever we do daily because the Bible says, a day is coming when everybody will give account of whatever they have done here on earth (Romans 14:12), and Jesus said in Matthew 12:36, "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment."
Don't ever think that anything is wasted, the little help you give to somebody, the contribution that you give in your various churches, even the words of encouragement that you post on this site all count, because people read them and are blessed.
Therefore, as you begin to check your actions on daily basis, May God grant you the heart and the desire to do his will, in the wonderful name of Jesus. Remain blessed.
Jesus loves you and I do too.
