Glory to Jesus. As we continue to examine the circumstances surrounding his birth, let's see why Jesus is the bread of life. Luke 2:7 says that when Jesus was born, they laid him in a manger. Now, in case you don't know what a manger is, a manger is a trough or basket in which they put animal food to feed the animals, and this was where Jesus was laid.
Again, I want you to understand this fact, it is not that Mary and Joseph could not afford a good bassinet or baby crib for him, but this was God's way of showing the world that Jesus is the BREAD OF LIFE.
John 6:35 says, "Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst." And Matthew 4:4 says, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."
Very sure, whenever you read the word of God, you are being fed by it.
As many of you that will like to eat this bread of life, may you never go hungry in Jesus name.
Jesus loves you and I do too.
