Christmas: UNDERSTANDING WHY JESUS CAME

As we celebrate this Christmas, it is not just enough to know that Jesus was born, but it is very important to know why he came. Therefore, for these few days from now till Christmas, I'll like you to stay tuned because there are a lot to learn about the birth of Jesus Christ as we dig into the circumstances surrounding his birth.
On most occasion, you'll find this statement in the Gospel of Matthew, "All these was done that it might be fulfilled which was written by the prophets." Yes, everything that happened to Jesus were prophesied and written down before he actually came. And when he came, right from birth, he began to live a life that fulfilled everything that were written concerning him.
Similarly, when you are born again, which means you've invited Jesus into your heart and he becomes the Lord of your live, you will begin to discover those things that were written in the word of God concerning you, apply them to your life and you'll then live a fulfilled life as a child of God.
Here is a typical example of how Jesus came to fulfill everything that were written concerning him.
A PROPHECY was given in Isaiah 9:6 that says, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
This was FULFILLED when he was born as prophesied as seen in Matthew 1:24-25 and Luke 2:7-8 that says, And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Also, Jesus fulfilled the Kingship of the prophesy, and even till today, we all know that Jesus is KING of Kings and LORD of Lords, as confirmed in Matthew 27:37 says, And above His head they put up the charge against Him which read, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
Sure, and throughout the Scriptures, you'll see how Jesus came to fulfilled all things written concerning him. Thus, as we celebrate this Christmas and onward, may the life of Jesus be fully reflected in us, so that we may live a fulfilled life from now on as we begin to understand why Jesus came in his most precious name. You are blessed. Jesus loves you and I do too.
